Artist and professional animator, mainly working in watercolor, gouache, casein, and digital media.
Born in 1983 in Santiago de Cuba, and raised in Miami Beach, Florida, art was always a passion for Michaelangelo Reina.
At the age of 18 he began his formal education in Visual Arts at Miami Dade College, and further developed into an Animation career at Ringling College of Art and Design.
Immediately after graduating with a BFA in Computer Animation, Michaelangelo moved to Los Angeles, California, where he worked in Visual Effects, and Video Game industries as an artist and animator. There, he nurtured the technical skills and methodology he would adapt to this own art.
Interests include, Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), travel, and the great outdoors.
Michaelangelo lives with his wife in sight of Old Rag Mountain and Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.
